I loved this coming-of-age love story. His views are insightful and as dispassionate as an Englishman of the time could be. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that the book helped my change the engine (although it can!), but I was able to learn how to do a countless number of things that would normally require a visit to the mechanic. Although the author starts out drawing comparisons between Eastern mysticism and investing, and makes a couple of valuable insights, he then succumbs to the critical error of equating the mystical experience to right-brain functioning as understood by Western brain hemisphere research. He explains, in language suitable for the economist in all of us, that private ownership of the means of production is the basic requirement for any good government..
