For the better part of the novel I was convinced that this entire story was all in Nina’s head and that she was in some sort of vegetative state due to a botched suicide attempt.
I can give kudos to anyone who manages to work their way through suicidal depression - even if it did take her some eight-plus lifetimes to do it.. Dodington; 31. The rest of it is the original 1999 material, but a good deal of it is relevant to the present-day reports, and the book can be very useful for those searching for these animals.
