It turns out very disappointing. I like that, which is why I read fantasy and play D&D, but I like new takes on the same old ideas much better.
4) I never believed she wanted to go home. The author doesn't even tell readers what happened to the major characters, either the famous ones whose fate is recorded in history or others who are probably fictional. Celia does a terrible job of convincing us that she actually wants to go home, so her motivation (especially in contrast to her apparent sudden romantic interest(s) all over place) rings kinda false.
