It's very refreshing to see some NICE "real world" models created-- McKinley does both high poly and low poly models of each project-- as well as UV's and texturing-- a real bonus. Deciding against suicide for the moment, she takes the painting down off the wall and falls asleep looking at it. In her often amusing narrative, Clark describes the do's and don'ts of "sympathy etiquette," cultural rules that people must follow to protect their sympathy margins.
Most disturbing is Clark's identification of a darker, less obvious side of sympathy-its function as a manipulative tool in everyday encounters. I was never bored or felt like I was sifting through chapters of description or non-action.
Things that could be improved:
1) Romance. Beautiful. It is certainly a work geared towards the scholarly community as well as Seminary students well versed in the subjects covered by Barr. The recipes in this book are very interesting. Gibson's retrospective includes decad
